| BITTER/SWEET | SHADOWS | |||||
| Film Synopsis: | Film Synopsis: | |||||
BITTER/SWEET is a character-driven romantic comedy, while at the same time, also a classic, “fish-out-of-water” story. The movie is the tale of American executive and coffee expert Brian Chandler (Kip Pardue), who seemingly has a “perfect” life. However, things begin to change for Brian after his boss, renegade coffee mogul Calvert Jenkins (James Brolin) sends him to Thailand to inspect a crop for purchase. Upon arrival, Brian meets Ticha (Mamee Nakprasit), a Bangkok PR executive, who takes care of Thailand's glamorous multi-talent diva Tata Young (Tata Young). |
Immediately upon arriving in Bangkok, American Jeff (Cary Elwes), his Thai wife Sua (Paula Taylor) and their son Kyle are hit by a truck while driving to visit Sua's father. He's horrified to learn he is the only survivor and is unsettled by his own lack of grief. Even more unsettling, Jeff begins seeing ghosts, all of whom appear to have died terribly, and he confides in his nurse Choi (Ploy Jindachote). The two of them alongside Warren (William Hurt) embark on a supernatural journey through the spirit world in search of closure. Fresh off its recent win of "Best Horror Movie " at the Fantasy Horror Awards in Orvieto, Italy, Shadow's is named as an "Official Selection" to the Bram Stoker International Film Festival in England in October 2011. Shadow's will also be making a splash at the first annual Comikaze Expo at the Los Angeles convention center in November 2011.
